Life can be filled with stress, hurt and disappointment.  I firmly believe, through my own professional and personal experiences that counseling can be a therapeutic, calming and worthwhile experience.  My technique includes emphasizing strengths, supporting personal growth and prioritizing self-determination.

I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Houston, Texas.  I am a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI), National Association of Social Work (NASW), and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). I grew up in Los Angeles, California and now live in Illinois with my husband and three children.  In my free time I enjoy yoga, reading, museums in the city and horror films.

I am a firm believer that through life’s obstacles, we all have strengths that can help us overcome. Sometimes we just need someone to help us discover what we have within us, and how we can use them to be our best. Through the therapeutic process, I work collaboratively to suit the needs of each individual with the understanding that we all may need something a little different from the process.

I am a Licensed Professional counselor with experience working with children, teens, adults, and families. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have provided counseling and worked within community mental health, higher education, and non profit organizations. I also love to write and have authored a book titled Adulting with ADHD, Navigating Adult Life with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. In my free time I like to travel, create, and explore.
