Bio

Life can be filled with stress, hurt and disappointment.  Charlene firmly believes, through professional and personal experiences that counseling can be a therapeutic, calming and worthwhile experience.  Charlene's techniques includes emphasizing strengths, supporting personal growth and prioritizing self-determination.

 

Charlene received her Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Houston, Texas.  She is a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI), National Association of Social Work (NASW), and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). Charlene grew up in Los Angeles, California and now lives in Illinois with her four children and fur baby.  In her free time she enjoys yoga, reading, museums in the city and horror films.

Bio

Timothy is a Licensed Social Worker who provides therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults.  He has been supporting individuals and families dealing with life changes, trauma, self-esteem struggles, behavioral/identity issues,anxiety, and depression. Timothy's approach is individualized and tailored to the client’s needs. His goal is to work together to understand the root cause of your struggles and address those issues with long-lasting strategies, helping you get closer to the life you've always wanted. He is a strength-based, cognitive-behavioral therapist and provide clients with helpful strategies and tools to feel better overall.

 

Timothy loves to spend time with his wife and two children, swim, skate, travel and try new foods. He was born and raised on the south side of Chicago.

Bio

Ashley graduated from Western Illinois University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in social work.  Ashley obtained her master’s degree in social work at Arizona State University on the Phoenix campus.  Ashley has a history of working with pregnant teens, teens aging out of foster care, domestic violence survivors, and working in the outpatient field of mental health with the severely mentally ill.  Ashley has experience working with individuals diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorders, and autism.

 

Ashley's favorite clinical interventions are dialect behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and strength-based practice. Ashley believes that if you can create a routine, use mindfulness, and grounding skills individuals are continually able to grow, learn, and cope with issues and concerns that they have. 

Ashley is currently married and has  two beautiful children, one dog, and two cats who keep her very busy.

Mercedes is a Licensed Social Worker who has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Chicago State University and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from National Louis University.

 

Mercedes has over 8 years of experience providing counseling and case management services to adolescents and adults who are dealing with difficult life situations and especially those seeking mental wellness. Mercedes has extensive experience working in community organizations, treatment facilities and healthcare organizations.  

Mercedes provides services separately as a certified wellness coach or licensed therapist- as these are two very distinct services she can assist you in determining which service would work best for you.

 

In her free time, Mercedes enjoys spending time with her 2 boys, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite genres of movie are ROMCOMs, comedies and dramas.
